From the moment Miana entered our house, we knew she would be an exceptional photographer. With the bride in Pittsburgh and the wedding near Philadelphia, it fell to me – the mother of the bride – to give the tour of the spaces where the attendants’ preparations and the “first look” would take place: our living room and outside terrace. Her warm reactions and her thoughtful, creative ideas about staging made her a pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding, our first impression was more than confirmed. The traditional photos, which were mostly outside, captured the beauty of an autumn day as a spectacular backdrop to the joyful participants. Above and beyond all of that, Miana’s skill and sensibility with candid shots was truly astonishing. Having known the wedding party for only a day and the rest of the guests not at all, she managed to capture just the right moments, whether in groups or almost portrait shots, catching personalities and memories on the fly. That is a gift.
